German impressionist drone/ambient duo Patterns on a closed eyelid was formed around 1994 in an old cellar outside of Stuttgart. Without any idea on how to record or make traditional music they began collecting old abandoned instruments, teaching themselves to play and used a variety of lo-fi recording techniques due to the lack of resources available.
